Membership & Membership Procedures Alimat

Alimat is a movement involving organizations and individuals who are strongly committed to promoting gender-sensitive families.

    1. Alimat membership consists of individuals who fight for gender equality and justice in Indonesian families.
    2. Alimat membership is determined at the General Members’ Meeting.
    3. Membership requirements and procedures are outlined in the Bylaws.

Member Rights

Every member has the right to:

    1. Receive equal treatment from Alimat.
    2. Elect and be elected to the Alimat Executive Board and Supervisory Board.
    3. Receive information about the organization’s programs and activities.
    4. Express opinions through available mechanisms.
    5. Receive protection under special circumstances.

Member Obligations

Every member is obligated to:

    1. Comply with the Articles of Association and Bylaws
    2. Uphold the values of the Alimat association.
    3. Maintain the good name of Alimat.
    4. Pay membership fees.
    5. Participate in activities mandated by Alimat.

Membership Admission Procedures

Admission to Alimat is carried out through:

    1. Voluntary registration by prospective members.
    2. Invitation from the Management Board or Supervisory Board.

Requirements for Membership

A person may become a member of Alimat if they meet all the following requirements:

    1. Agree with the vision and mission of Alimat
    2. Express willingness to become a member in writing
    3. Obtain recommendations from 3 (three) Alimat members

Procedures for Termination of Membership

The termination of a member’s membership may only be decided through a resolution of the General Members’ Meeting

Reasons for Termination of Membership

A member of Alimat may be terminated due to:

    1. Death,
    2. Voluntary resignation,
    3. Based on the recommendation of the Supervisory Board for violating the Articles of Association (AD/ART) of Alimat,
    4. Being under guardianship or declared legally incompetent based on a court decision that does not conflict with human rights.
